RSO Terms of Service & EULA

Last Updated: 2026-03-02

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of the RSO software synthesizer ("Software") provided by Lucas Perron ("LPERRON_DEV", "I", "me"). By purchasing, downloading, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Software License (EULA)

Grant of License: Upon your purchase of the Software, I grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on a reasonable number of your own devices for your personal or professional creative work.

Restrictions: You may NOT:

  • Redistribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise transfer the Software to any third party.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law.
  • Modify or create derivative works based on the Software.
  • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the Software.

2. Payment & Transaction Processing

Payments for the Software are processed through either Paddle (Merchant of Record) when purchased via lperron.com, or Gumroad when purchased via their platform. Both payment processors handle all payment details, transactions, and applicable tax collection. Your purchase is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. License keys are generated by us for Paddle purchases and by Gumroad for their purchases.

3. Refunds & Right of Withdrawal

14-Day Refund Period: You may request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase, no questions asked. While not required, we'd appreciate hearing about your experience if you're willing to share—it helps us improve RSO for everyone. Paddle purchases: Refunds are processed by Paddle in accordance with their Buyer Terms. Gumroad purchases: Refunds are processed by Gumroad in accordance with their refund policy.

Upon refund (regardless of platform), your license key will be revoked and the Software will revert to Demo Mode. We encourage you to try the free demo version before purchasing—it offers full functionality with no time limit, only preset saving and DAW state recall are disabled.

4. Legal Guarantees

As a consumer based in the European Union, you benefit from the following legal guarantees:

Legal Guarantee of Conformity:

For digital content, you benefit from a 2-year legal guarantee of conformity from the date of delivery. If the Software does not conform to its description or does not function as reasonably expected, you may request that it be brought into conformity, or, if that is not possible, obtain a price reduction or full refund.

Legal basis: Articles L224-25-1 to L224-25-32 of the French Consumer Code.

Guarantee Against Hidden Defects:

You may also invoke the guarantee against hidden defects under Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code. This allows you to request a refund if the Software has a hidden defect that makes it unfit for its intended use.

5. Intellectual Property

The Software, including its code, design, user interface, and branding, is the exclusive intellectual property of Lucas Perron and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your license does not grant you any ownership rights in the Software.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. This disclaimer does not affect your statutory rights under the legal guarantees described in Section 4.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, I SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SOFTWARE. This limitation does not apply to damages caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

8. Dispute Resolution

In case of a dispute between you (the Client) and the company, we will endeavor to resolve it amicably (the Client shall send a written complaint to the professional).

  • If no amicable agreement is reached or in the absence of a response from the professional within a reasonable period of one (1) month, the consumer Client within the meaning of Article L.612-2 of the Consumer Code may refer the matter free of charge to the competent consumer mediator.

10. Changes to These Terms
